Little Women was the first the show first show I'd done that required multiple, unique, period-appropriate dresses, but no time to handcraft them all. Instead, this project was full of sourcing Victorian gowns to fit each of the characters' personality and gathering or making lots and lots of accessories. Whether it be hats, capes, ascots, or fans, I used dozens of accessories to show the passing of time and/or place, even as the cast sang and daydreamed all in the attic of the March sisters' home. I was able to create a Victorian ensemble for Mrs. March including a skirt, blouse, detachable collar, and matching bonnet. I must say that her ensemble was my favorite of all the dress, but I guess I'm biased!
